"Heel My Sole" Fundraiser Gala
The Roschelle Woyee Scholarship Foundation (RWSF) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization which is in memory of my late sister, Roschelle T. Woyee, who was shot in the head, and killed by her daughter’s father in 2008 at the back door of our parent’s residence in the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. Our foundation focuses on providing scholarships, creating mentorship opportunities, promoting healthy relationships without abuse in the community, advocating for at-risks children, child survivors and victims of domestic partner abuse, and sexual abuse. The proceeds from the “Heel My Sole” Fundraiser Gala, will go towards the purchase of school necessities for at-risks children, child survivors and victims of domestic partner abuse, and sexual abuse who are in need of financial aid and is residing in shelters in the United States, and in West Africa, Liberia. "Love: Nothing Stronger"
One Voice Chorus (OVC) and Charlotte Pride Band (CPB) are proud to announce a joint concert, “Love: Nothing Stronger.” The concert will be presented on Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13 at 7:30 pm in First United Methodist Church. This is the first collaboration between the full groups which believe that such partnerships lead to deeper and more powerful connections within our larger community. OVC is an SATB chorus comprised of approximately 70 singers begun in 1990. CPB has approximately 45 musicians and was founded in 2010. Both groups are proud to include both LGBTI members and straight allies. Each group will perform several selections. In addition, the program will also feature selections with both groups performing. 2019 Healthy Achievement 5K Run/Walk
The 6th Annual Healthy Achievement 5K Run | Walk as established in 2014 as the signature fundraising and awareness event to support the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte’s successful youth mentoring, leadership development and college scholarship programs as well as bring exposure to the importance of maintaining good health while achieving personal, scholastic and professional goals. The HA5K is held each year over Fathers Day weekend in Uptown Charlotte and is full of fun, festivities and a focus on healthy achievement. Our Cause Partners - the American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation and the American Cancer Society, Run For Life Charlotte - will have pertinent health information, tips and even FREE screenings!! 2019 Inaugural Untappd Beer Festival
Beer enthusiasts and brewers from around the world will assemble on the field at the stadium to celebrate beer and breweries from across the United States. Over 100 brewers will pour samples of between two and four beers at booths stationed on the field at Bank of America Stadium. The event will highlight dozens of Charlotte-area and North Carolina and South Carolina breweries as well as a strong contingent of brewers from around the country. The Inaugural Untappd Beer Fest is rain or shine event. Patrons must be 21 years of age and over to attend.

2019 Iredell Garden Fair
The Iredell Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association invites the public to the 7th annual Iredell Garden Fair. The event will include vendors from the Charlotte-metro area offering plants for sale, garden equipment and accessories, yard art and more. Extension Master Gardener volunteers will provide gardening education, basket raffles, children’s activities, music and more. Workshop topics are “Crape Myrtle Bark Scale Lifecycle and Management,” at 10 a.m. by Matt Lenhardt, Iredell Extension Agent and “Growing What You'll Use: Maximizing Your Garden Through Plant Selection and Preservation” at 10 a.m. by Eli Snyder, Caldwell Extension Agent. Free and open to the public.

2019 Queen City Easter Festival
The 2019 Queen City Easter Festival is full of festivities such as face painting, games, dance performances, crafts, vendors, food and more! There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt and FREE Easter Bunny pictures accompanied by 100 FREE toy gift bags for children. 100 Free swag bags will also be given to the first 100 attendees. If you would like to donate candy for the egg hunt please dop off at the welcome table.
